Mobile Internet

I'm staying at a different hotel from the host hotels... I got a good deal on priceline.

The hotel is charging $13 / day for internet, so it might be worthwhile to get a mobile internet USB stick--not sure if there is any service that doesn't require a contract. Or perhaps there is a municipal wifi network?

Any suggestions? If the service is under $70 and the hardware is reusable, it should be worthwhile.
