Lunchtime tips

DrupalCon is big. Ad:Tech SF is even bigger, and runs the same days across the street from DrupalcCon. So, we might run into a little competition for all those tables in the 100's of restaurants within walking distance of Moscone Center.
Here are some tips to help you avoid waiting in lines, and to get you back to the conference before the 1:30pm keynote each day of the conference:
- Grab and go
Your quickest options are:- Food Court at the Metreon - just take the North steps up from Howard Street outside DrupalCon and you're there
- Food court at Westfield Mall - 1.5 block northwest on Mission between 4th and 5th - several options on the street level.
- Whole Foods Market - two blocks south on 4th Street at Harrison
- Lee's Deli, Working Girls Cafe, and Chipotle - one block east - all on the 100 block of New Montgomery
- Order delivery or pickup
Grubhub.com has lots of quick options near DrupalCon - get your order then eat at one of the nice outdoor areas near the conference center - Yerba Buena Gardens or the Square next St. Johns church across Mission Street
- Big group? Make a reservation
Opentable.com serves more than 25 nearby lunch spots, and is the quickest way to reserve a table (book at least an hour ahead of time)
- There's an app for that
Opentable and Yelp have great apps for the iPhone, Android and Blackberry. Search for restaurants in SoMa.
- Ask a local
Check out the list of options compiled by the DrupalCon planners.
- Use a map
There's a google map of eateries near DrupalCon, and other handy info. on the Coffee and Food page of this site.
