Jeffrey Masigan

Jeff Masigan is a front-end web developer and photographer. Originally from the Manila, Philippines, Jeff moved to Canada in May 2005. He has been actively making websites, graphic and print materials sine 2004.

Jeff attended De La Salle University – Manila, one of the Philippines premier universities for computer studies. Jeff successfully completed 3 years of the BSc Computer Science with Specialization in Instructional Systems Technology before immigrating to Vancouver and continuing his studies at British Columbia Institute of Technology. During his 3 years in DLSU, Jeff learned a lot about human-computer interaction, e-learning and on-line marketing and advertising.

In April 2007 Jeff graduated with honours from the New Media Design and Web Development Program from BCIT.

Immediately after graduating from BCIT, Jeff was hired by the Media FX Group as a Junior Media Developer. In less than a year with being with the company, Jeff was promoted to Senior Developer for New Media and Web Technologies. He was in charge of looking after managing and developing all of the web and media related projects of the company.

Following Jeff’s tenure in Media FX Group, Jeff found work at Splashdot. Splashdot is a new media company, which specializes in hosting online contests, viral permission marketing and customer service solutions. Jeff’s role in the company as a Web Production Associate was mainly to scripting HTML/CSS templates, create email campaigns for contest announcements and promotions as well as to building contest websites using the existing CMS of the company.

Currently Jeff works as a freelance web developer focusing on front-end development and drupal themeing.
