Drupal security: seminar, and hands-on training - GVS
Class Description
Web security threats are real. Your site is probably vulnerable to attack. In this full-day session join Ben Jeavons and Greg Knaddison of the Drupal Security Team to learn how to make your site and processes secure. The 8 hour training starts with a review of the most common kinds of vulnerabilities found in Drupal sites. We then break them down and present the specific ways to prevent those problems in both site configuration and code. The day culminates in a practical, hands-on site review where students will have time on their own to review a Drupal site to identify and fix vulnerabilities.
About the presenters: Greg Knaddison and Ben Jeavons are highly accomplished Drupal developers and experts in Drupal security. Greg Knaddison has worked with the Drupal Security Team's education initiative for several years now and most recently wrote the only book about security in Drupal: Cracking Drupal. Ben Jeavons, also a member of the Drupal Security Team, is the author of the Security Review module and of many blog posts on CrackingDrupal.com where he has created valuable resources for Drupal's community.
