What if I just showed up?
I'm doing some last minute planning. I live in the bay area but I'm only able to attend DrupalCon on Tuesday. I haven't got my ticket yet. What would someone suggest I do? Is there a one day price? What if I just showed up willing to purchase? Can I buy someone's ticket from Europe? Thanks.

If you can't pay for a day, I don't see anyone getting busted for not wearing their name tags. You could just walk in and "audit" a few sessions, network a bit, and no one will be the wiser. Say you left your tag at the hotel, if you need to. Maybe make a donation to the drupal association afterwards to ease your conscience.
