JAARS, Inc. is seeking a driven, team-focused Web designer/developer—someone who’s able and eager to enhance our corporate sites, social media and email marketing. You’ll spend your days:
• Identifying key ways to improve our online media and spark interest in written content—then applying user-friendly solutions
• Creating wireframes and design comps
• Implementing your designs in content management systems, HTML emails and other forms
• Choosing and creating graphics, such as icons or promotional imagery
• Selecting and retouching photos

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or 5–7 years of experience
• Strong track record in user-centric Web design and development—proven by a robust portfolio
• Significant experience with HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript and PHP
• Skilled using industry design tools, such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• In-depth knowledge of online media production practices, such as Web standards and cross-browser support

MuleSoft is seeking a highly skilled front-end designer/developer who takes ownership of web site functionality and can support the marketing team to implement a high quality web presence. Ideally, this contract position will start in June and end in November.

What you will do with us:

* Develop clear and intuitive front end user interfaces from mock ups or wireframes
* Help us maintain and make updates to our website
* Work with members of the MuleSoft marketing team on high-impact projects like search engine optimization (SEO) and direct email marketing
* Update print materials using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator

What you already do:

* Have an excellent eye for detail
* Have the ability to hand-code without the use of a WYSIWYG editor (html, css, php, javascript)
* Master cross browser markup HTML and CSS
* Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and take ownership of your projects without direct supervision

Pluses:

* Experience with CMSs (Drupal and Wordpress get double brownie points)
* Database design and implementation experience
* Firebug is your best friend
* You subscribe to both design and programming feeds
* Proficient in Adobe CS3 (Pshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
